For the last few weeks, I've been getting bogus mileage (and therefore pace) when I track my workout using the iPhone app. What appears to be happening is that the GPS is showing a very zig zagging route when I'm moving in a straight line.
The result is that my miles are overstated, also affecting the pace logged. (I did a sub 7 minute walk two weeks ago!)
I thought that was a one-time occurance, but it's now happening every time I use the app. (I'd been using the app this way with this Charge2 for several months w/no issues.)
How do I fix this?
Best AnswerI got an iPhone 7 Plus yesterday. My usual walk showed I walked 6.25 km!!! It's always been 5.5 km. My other route was normally 6.0 km. Today it was 7.3 km. WTF? Glad I checked the forum. Guess it's not my phone.
Best Answertoday was a bit better, only about 200m off on a 10km run.

Best AnswerI took a walk again tonight. Distance should have been around 6 km. It showed as 7.68 !!!
took a look at the map created and then zoomed in and this is what I saw. This stupid zigzagging is adding more mileage than I'm actually walking. WTF is going on? This started a couple of days ago.
These red lines should be straight. I did not drink before walking.
Again. All this zigzagging is bogus. The lines should be straight
Same here! A bunch of zigzags....
I think the algorithm that calculates the distance is somehow buggy. There was a software update on the 25th of April. My guess is that something went wrong there!
