MobileTrack Not Syncing

I'm on MobileTracker 2.21.1 (488) and on an iPhone 6+ running iOS 9.3.1. Apparently my app hasn't synced since Feb 20, 2016. I hadn't been using it; I'm guessing it happened after the app was updated because the first time I launched it, it said, 'optimizing data' or 'cleaning up' or something like that.

Now when I go to Account -> MobileTrack ->  Sync Now, it says 'Syncing...', I see the NSCircularProgressIndicator spinning to the right, as well as the tiny one up in the menu bar, but at some point that must time out or die. I don't get an error message, it just goes back to saying 'Sync now' and it still says, 'Synced 2/20/16, 7:50 PM' up top.

I've tried force-quitting the app and rebooting the phone. Kind of nervous to delete the app in case it loses the last few months of data, as I'm not sure whether it can just re-acquire that from HealthKit or if it's all just stored in the app or what.

@thombrooks Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I will recommend to follow all of these syncing troubleshooting steps for iOS devices. It should sync properly after doing that!

Try that out first and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Um, this thread is about using the MobileTracker app, which uses my phone to track my steps and report them to the website, not an actual FitBit device. Thanks!

@thombrooks I definitely would not recommend uninstalling/reinstalling the App. There is always the potential for losing data that hasn't synced yet when uninstalling the App.

What I would recommend is making sure that your iOS device has a strong WiFi or mobile data internet connection.

I'd also recommend: opening your iOS settings > scroll down and click on the Fitbit App > and make sure that you have given permission to: Motion & Fitness, Background App Refresh, and Cell Data.

Afterwards, I'd then force quit and reopen the App to initiate a sync.

Let me know if this helps!

I could not see sync now option like Account -> MobileTrack ->  Sync Now.  So first I removed fitbit mobiletrack and then readded.  Then its all working fine.
