Any idea as to when the MobileTracker on iPhone 7 will become available and start working?

Just upgraded to the iPhone 7 from the 6s and discovered that Mobile Track is no longer working. I attempted to remove MobileTrack and add it back, but it's not an option. Is there an update that needs to be made to the app to support this? I often don't wear my Fitbit Flex at work and rely on my phone to count steps at those times.

Same, tried removing and reinstalling the app, removed the mobile track and it wouldn't show up for the iPhone 7 plus.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Mobiletrack wasn't working, deleted it, itsn't an option to add back. I'm going to loose my challenges. Good news for my cousins, bad news for me. Smiley Wink

Just got the iPhone 7 and there is no option to add mobile track now. Is the new iPhone not compatible with it yet?

Mobile Track requires a specific piece of hardware in the phone. Not sure if the iPhone 7 has it or not. We'll have to wait until one of the Mods can comment on it.

I joined the forum hoping to get an answer only to learn there are several of us in this boat.   Well at least if we all row the same direction we should get somewhere!

The mobiletrack option isn't working on the iPhone 7, I've checked the forums and apparently the same issue emerged with iPhone 6. I've tried deleting the app, creating a new account, and selecting 'MobileTrack' when registering, but when I get into the app it's not tracking my steps. It's not allowing me to add 'MobileTrack' as a device either - it's not even an option. Meanwhile, my Health app says I walked 10,000+ steps yesterday, while my FitBit apps says I walked 0 steps.

Can you fix this ASAP please and release an update? Thanks.

Do we know when an update will come out so I can use mobile track on the iPhone 7?

Yes it does, the new M10 motion coprocessor is in the iPhone 7. Apple's Pedometer API has a simple "is step counting available" check which is sufficient to determine if step counts are available. I have no problem getting a step count from Health, Argus, MyFitnessPal, Pedometer, and HealthView apps. Given that Fitbit app doesn't work, it appears Fitbit is also checking the iPhone model number and doesn't recognize the iPhone 7 (something like "iPhone9,1").

Its a simple fix, hoping to see the iPhone 7 working in next release of Fitbit app.

Edit:

I wrote the world's most simple and ugly app to output model number on my AT&T iPhone 7:

according to this developer there are a few more identifiers:

iPhone7 : "iPhone9,1", "iPhone9,3"
iPhone7Plus: "iPhone9,2", "iPhone9,4"

Aria, Fitbit MobileTrack on iOS. Previous: Flex, Force, Surge, Blaze

Hi everybody,

Just a heads up, I've merged a few threads together into this thread and floated it. The iPhone 7 not having the option to setup MobileTrack is a known issue that our team is working towards resolving.

I will be sure to post updates in this thread as they come in.

We're in business. I updated to iOS 10.0.2 yesterday and this morning I just got a Fitbit app update, and the mobile track is working again. Fitbit app version 2.27.1 is the one to have.

The update is good in theory but it doesn't actually count steps...
