Possibly about a year ago, I notified Fitbit that the app. was incorrectly changing previous days data when I put a new days data in. After sending them screen shots to show this, nothing was resolved. In the end, I got fed up of their incompetence that I decided to just focus on the sleep and steps. This was never resolved. I have since lost the sleep from the dashboard and even though the updates have happened, the problems are still there... for example, if yesterday I drank 1500ml of water but today I drink 1750ml, the data for yesterday changes when I add todays. So yesterday will now say 1750ml as well.
I obviously want to resolve this as I have recently been sent a replacement Fitbit for my broken one but do not want to set it up until this problem is resolved.

I can't speak for everyone, but I can say that I haven't experienced that issue. My data goes back to 6/13/17.
