My Sense won’t find my iphone unless I have the Fitbit app open - Is there a solution?

Yes @Annpop for your sense to communicate with the Fitbit app on the phone, your app needs to be open. 

What is it that you are asking? Or what app on the Sense wants to talk to the phone. 

Is the Fitbit app running in the background?

I have an iPhone 11r. For some reason find my phone will only work if my Fitbit app is open.
I had an Apple Watch just before this Sense and it worked wonderfully - this sense won’t find my iPhone.

The newer apple watches do not even need a phone. 

So what app is it that can not find the Fitbit app? Or what are you requesting when you get this error? 

Your Fitbit app needs to be running, either in the foreground or background,
