Though the app recognizes sleeping, the app can’t recognize the naps I took.

Can you fix this?

It will automatically recognize naps only if at least one hour.

I did find a work-around, though not officially recommended by Fitbit.  When you are going to take a shorter nap, use the "Begin Sleep Now" button in the sleep section, then "I'm Awake" when nap is over, and the nap will be credited as sleep time.

Normally, those are not recommended on trackers with heart rate monitoring, as that prevents getting sleep stages, which you would not get from a nap less than 3 hours anyway.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
