New App - Barcode scanner no longer works

I've been really frustrated with the new app, as I can no longer scan barcodes for nutrition information. The app isn't able to focus the camera properly, so it doesn't read the code. My camera works just fine on its own and in other apps - just fitbit is causing problems. I've updated to the latest version of the app as of this morning. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello @jmcconlo and welcome to the Community.  Can you provide a little more information?

  • What app version is giving you this problem?  Tap on your gear icon/profile pic in the upper right > Help & Support.
  • What model iPhone do you use?  iPhone 14 users have been reporting this problem even before the app update.

Thanks for any help - it's version 4.02.

I have an iphone 14 pro with the latest FitBit app and have the same thing. The focus doesn't work and basically the functionality is useless. I have been on myfitnesspal and I wanted to give fitbit another chance on the nutrition side... I have been able to scan like 1 out of 10 things and the one thing that worked was a huuuuuge PITA. 

The scanner is pretty much unusable.
