New Fitbit has old data?

I just received my Fitbit today but there are random calorie amounts for about a week past. Prior to that there are the same amounts each day. Why is it showing data for a Fitbit that wasn't used?

When you first get your Fitbit, you will see burned calories. The devices begin the day at midnight, so no matter what time you set up, those burned calories will be there. This article on burned calories may help you. click to read

 

What you're seeing is normal and won't make any difference with your step statistics.
