New fit bit already says I've walked .5 miles but did not take any steps

Hello. I just purchased my Fitbit Alta today. I did the set up but it is already showing on my dashboard about 600 steps and I have not stood up once since the first time I put it on. Is there a way to reset this?

@Jkinkler Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Your tracker includes a sensor (accelerometer) that may capture some brisk movements and then interpret them as steps. There is a way to delete steps; try that out to erase those 600 steps.
