Nofitcation deletion after iOS soft reset

I've noticed that since the Blaze update that if I must do a soft reset of my phone, all the notifications on my blaze are deleted. This didn't happen before the update and wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

Hi there @DibaSr, good to see you around. In this case the Blaze notifications are automatically deleted in a period of 24 hrs or sooner. Also if it exceed a maximum of 30 notifications, the oldest are replaced as new ones come in. Restarting your phone should not have an impact on your notifications whatsoever.

Let me know if the issue persist on a daily basis to investigate further. I'll be around if you have more questions.

@RobertoME Yes, the notifications on the blaze delete when my iPhone is reset. It's only the text, calendar and phone none of the 3rd party apps delete. From my testing, it had nothing to do with time of notifications.

Hi there @DibaSr, thank you for providing me more details. Certainly this is odd, so I tested it by myself with a Blaze and my iOS device. I have replicated the same scenario you mentioned before, but the only difference is that the notifications were not deleted after the soft restart.

So lets do this from scratch, just remember to sync before to proceed, to avoid any lost of data:

  1. Tell your mobile device to "forget" your tracker:
  2. On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  3. Tap your tracker and then tap Forget Device.
  4. Log out of the Fitbit app.
  5. Reboot your mobile device again.

Lets take a pause here and, try to set up your tracker as a new device on your existing account

  • Log back in on your Fitbit app and tap the Account tab.
  • Tap Set Up a Device.
  • Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Now your tracker is set up as a new device again, so let proceed with enabling your notifications.

  1. Tap Account. again
  2. Tap your tracker.
  3. Find an option to turn on your notifications.

Lets give it a try and don't forget to keep me updated.
