Every couple of weeks when I go into my Fitbit app to log some miles of walking during my breaks at work, I get the dreaded 'Hang Tight - we're cleaning things up for you' delay. I usually only get 10 minutes per break, and it's not great to have to wait 2-3 minutes for the App cleanup to finish before I can start. I guess I really should start the app a few minutes before going out for the walk, but I really wish it would update the app in the background - when I'm not using it.
Anyone else have a workaround?

@Richard_RV Welcome to the Community! Thanks for checking us out. I went ahead and moved your post to the iOS board for better visibility. You will see that likely ever two weeks when the app version updates. You may want to try opening the app the morning. If you want to start walking your tracker will record your steps and they will be visible as soon as you sync, so you don't have to wait for the update, if that is a concern.

My Fitbit hasn't received any data for over a month but I wear my tracker every day. Come to find out, UNLESS you open the Fitbit app and wait for this message to disappear then you'll have no data coming across. I don't even receive any type of notification from Fitbit when this happens. Nothing tells me "Hey we've stopped receiving your data. Is something wrong?"

I’m having same type problem but it never completes. After I updated the app it seems to be stuck in that ‘clean up’ mode. Now what?
