Not all tiles in the new dashboard are updating when moving between dates

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday I started getting an error with the new dashboard. When I move back to previous days, only the top summary tile shows previous days' activities. The drinks, calories consumed , steps per hour and sleep tiles remain showing today's activities. To start with I could also not record any new activity through the new dashboard (the old one worked fine on another devise). This latter issue has now been resolved. I have had to go back to the old style dashboard on my iPad to get the app to work.

I tried to reboot the iPad but that had no impact. I am up to date on versions.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @CBlock, hope you're doing good today my friend Smiley Very Happy! Hmmm..very strange let me say, I haven't heard this before.

However, I'd recommend trying the following steps:

  • Make sure that your Fitbit App is up-to-date
  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App

By the way, what's the model of your iPad? Are you syncing with only one device?

Let me know if this does the trick my friend!

Unfortunately the steps provided do not resolve the issue.

My Fitbit app is up to date. I don't have a Charge HR but an ordinary
Charge. I am not working with a phone but with an Apple iPad.

@CBlock I think there may be some confusion, what you are describing is expected behavior.

The tiles below your daily stats tile (for example sleep and water consumed) shows the most recent information, even if you are looking at your fitness stats from a previous day.

To view your historical data for the tiles below your daily fitness stats, tap the individual tile and you will be able to see your historical sleep, calories consumed, or water data.

I have gone back to the old dashboard. The old way of moving between days and seeing all the tiles update is much better.

Please consider bringing this back. As is stands, having this split scenario is confusing and requires more user input to see the same results that were on the old dashboard.

That's ridiculous - 'expected behavior' - crazy! Please make the data relevant to the day actually being viewed on the dashboard...

I think this is very disappointing, and confusing to users, probably not only to me.

It is not logical behaviour from a dashboard and constitues a change from the old dashboard. Change can be good, but I personally don't think this is a good one.

Hey guys @scoot1234 @SunsetRunner @CBlock Woman Very HappyBeginning with version 2.26 of the Fitbit app for iOS, the new Fitbit app dashboard is fully implemented. You can no longer return to the old design.

The new dashboard design highlights your daily progress in a new daily stats tile. You’ll see your activity stats, such as floors, miles, calories, and active minutes in a new tile. You can tap each stat to see more detail and your history. Additionally, the other tiles have a new look and contain more detailed information if you tap each tile.

The tiles below the daily stats tile show your most recent information, even if you're looking at your stats for another day. To view your stats for a previous day, tap the individual tiles to see your history.

To change the tiles you see on your dashboard, in the Fitbit app for iOS tap Edit, or in the Fitbit app for Windows 10 tap or click the pencil icon.

Note: You must have iOS 9 or greater installed on your iOS mobile device to edit your dashboard.

Have a nice start of the week my friends!

'Locking' the data on the lower tiles regardless of day makes them far less useful to me. I want to scroll through history by day.  The bottom tiles should show the information that matches the day I'm viewing on my dashboard. Disappointed with this 'enhancement.'

Thanks for stopping by @AnnieMP, hope you're doing good!  As you mentioned, when you swipe to see the information from previous days, only the Main tile (steps, floors, calories burned, active minutes and distance) will update. The other tiles will only show "Today's" information. In order to check the information form previous days in tiles such as Water, Sleep and Reminders to move, please tap on each tile, where you will find detailed information and a complete graph of your stats.

I'd recommend checking out our Feature Suggestion Board if you haven't already. This is a space where Community users can post features, ideas, and suggestions that they'd like to see in future Fitbit products, accessories, and software and top-voted suggestions get relayed to our product team for review.

I'd also recommend up-voting and commenting on "Ability to see previous days with all tiles on iOS app" feature suggestion since it is very similar of what you're looking and asking for.

I'll be around if you need further help!
