Not receiving text notifications on Charge 2.

Have a Charge 2, running on Apple iPhone 6s.  My charge 2 sends call, meeting and encouragement notifications, but it does not send text notifications.  So I swapped mine with my wife's, which worked for her, and I am still having the same issue.

Has anyone else had this same problem. My settings are correct and I have spent about an hour with Fitbit support and have uninstalled, reinstalled and restarted.

The confusing part is that I am able to get messages, but not SMS.

Thank you.

Hello @MikePGH, thanks for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it. It's great to have you on board @CBOO, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

@CBOO, which tracker are you currently using? If you're wearing a Charge 2, please make sure the tracker is not currently on Do Not Disturb mode by holding down the button on the side for 2 seconds, a vibration and a message will let you know if Notifications have been turned on or off.

In case this is not the case, please go to your phone settings > notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled (you can check @MikePGH's screenshot as reference):

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show in Notification Center
  • Show on Lock Screen.

I am also having issues with not receiving text notifications on my Charge 2 from my iPhone 6+. I've checked all settings and still not working. Could this have anything to do with the iOS update recently?

Wow I had uninstalled/reinstalled the app, and forgot and paired Bluetooth multiple times trying to get notifications to work when all along all I needed to do was press and hold the side button for 2 seconds. Yay!

@CLFnLBK, I'm very glad your issue has now been resolved, thanks for taking the time to let me know.

@amdw77, if you have already checked that your tracker is not on the Do Not Disturb mode and the settings are correct on your phone, let's try to reset Notification on your Charge 2

  • Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  • Restart your phone
  • Restart your tracker
  • Open the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Charge 2 > Notifications and tap on Pair when required.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

Hello @MoHammedNouman, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community.

Have you tried to restart notifications in your tracker as instructed in my previous post? If so, I would like you to go to your phone settings > notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following options are enabled:

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show in Notification Center
  • Show on Lock Screen.

Additionally, please check if the "Do Not Disturb" mode hasn't been enabled. To do this, go to the clock face on your tracker, then press and hold the button for 2 seconds, a vibration and a message on the tracker will indicate you that Notifications have been turned on or off.

If you're still getting a message in the app asking you to set up Notifications after you have done all this, please reply to me with a screenshot of your Fitbit app so I can check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply. Smiley Wink

@Sonia_20, if you have already tried restarting notifications on your phone and Charge 2,

I would like you to go to your phone settings > notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following options are enabled:

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show in Notification Center
  • Show on Lock Screen.

Additionally, please check if the "Do Not Disturb" mode hasn't been enabled. To do this, go to the clock face on your tracker, then press and hold the button for 2 seconds, a vibration and a message on the tracker will indicate you that Notifications have been turned on or off.
