I'd been trying to use another app, Pacer, but when I realized it recorded only twenty one minutes of activity, despite my twenty minutes on the stationary bike (phone in pocket) and walking up and down the stairs repeatedly, I gave up. Tried the Fitbit app to see if there's improvement. Figured it was worth a shot and if it worked better, I might go ahead and get a device.
At first I was impressed that it showed activity from the last few days. Good start. It also showed 446 steps as soon as I logged in, clearly keeping track. Good.
So... I've been walking all around my house, up and down stairs. Bouncing around, even lightly jogging. Excited, I pulled out my iPhone and checked how much progress I made: 446 steps. Um... what???
Just to check, I put in back in my front pocket, and walked up and down the steps. Pulled out the phone and checked: 446 steps.
I did make sure that I'm logged in correctly and all that. It clearly has recorded steps. But so far, not impressed with the accuracy. What's the point if it's not keeping track?

Never mind. I went ahead and deleted it. Might as well go back to the Pacer.
