Notificatons showing a red dot but I don't have new Notifications.

After reading many posts in the forums that say I cannot delete any notifications I understand that (though like everyone else, which I could).  But besides that I’m left with a problem that’s been driving me crazy.  My notifications show that I have a new notification and I don’t.  I have systematically went back through hundreds of them to make sure they are all “read” and none of them are another color and I STILL have the blasted red dot in the bottom right over “notifications”. When I toggle to messages (I have none) then the red dot also appears in the top over “notifications” again.  But I toggle back to that and the top one goes away.  The bottom one is still there.   Thoughts, please?.    (while I think notifications are great - I’ve turned them OFF trying to be done with this nonsense)

Thanks for the update, @MarcoGFitbit. I appreciate that the team is working on it. It's not a huge problem, just a little annoying.

Now if someone could figure out a way to delete all those in-app notifications from way back...

Please fix this red dot issue. It is very annoying! I too have done all the recommendations, but to no avail!

Can I delete the notifications that are on there? I have ones going back over a year. I made the mistake of commenting on one person’s post in the running group and have a screen full of comments that I can’t delete. Can I just remove this feature all together? The only thing I liked about it was the steps goal encouragement. Now you don’t do that anymore. Can you make this feature optional and tell me how to remove it from my app altogether? I agree with those considering other fitness tracker options! This is ridiculous!

Hello @nomadmom, thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @WoodyJohn, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

@nomadmom, I appreciate your participation in the Forums, however at this moment we do not have a specific timeframe for when this issue will be resolved, please keep an eye on the Forums as we will make sure to post any update here.

Now when it comes to the notifications you're recieving.  I understand how important for you is to have the ability to remove them, however at this moment, this is not possible, which is why I would like to suggest you to check @rubyrune's suggested idea. Vote and comment on it, this is the best way to make your voice heard.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I’m also having the red dot issue and it’s been going on for quite awhile.  It is obnoxious and reading through this thread and finding that Fitbit is doing zilch about it is extremely frustrating.  Do your project/product managers even read the forums?  It would appear they don’t since they haven’t prioritized the things that people actually want and instead have their engineers working on whatever they want.  It’s so annoying when software companies ask or don’t listen to the people that actually use the products!

How to delete read messages or notifications.  Red dot continues to pop on and the last message was 3 months ago.  This is annoying.  How to delete messages already replied to

I am also experiencing this same problem. I did a chat with Fitbit and it disappeared while I was chatting with them but unfortunately came right back as soon as we were done and I did a review.

They are aware of the problem so I guess that is something.

I also have chosen to turn off the notifications in the meanwhile as it is so disturbing to think you have a message every time you open the app.

Please share if anyone has an answer.
