I have been a long time Fitbit user, approx. 7 years and I have owned several different trackers during this time. I have had syncing issues with every one I have owned. Many of them have been replaced under warranty after failing and none have lasted much more than year. My recent Fitbit Charge 3 died completely and was replaced. The replacement stopped working after I week. the next replacement stopped syncing after 2 months . Now I have to reset it multiple times per day. I always have owned the latest iPhone and always keep the software up to date. My Fitbit software is also always kept up tp date. I have completed the reset multiple times, including the 15 second reset, set it up like new, deleted the data, etc. You name it and I have done it many times.
The only reason I have stayed this long is the friends I have met and the group challenges I participate in. If it wasn't for this I would have dumped Fitbit a long time ago. Search syncing issues with Fitbit and see the thousands of hits you get. I am pretty much at the end of my patience with these poor quality trackers.

It’s a fitbit software issue!!! It’s like every month. I have automatic fitbit updates with my iPhone. I have a the new versa2 fitbit that I have had for about 6 months. I have done everything possible to correct this on my end and nothing seems to correct it. I sync my phone every hour and my steps take about 2 hrs up to’ 8 hrs or more.
pleaae fitbit people get this fixed

I have been with Fitbit 7 years, My Fitbit 3 would not sync my Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max. Then the screen went black, shortly out of warranty. Call - Fitbit they gave me another tracker it lasted one week, they sent me another one it lasted approx 2 months it would not sync any longer - Today it would not sync after the 4th attempt decided to try Fitbit 4 and syncing it seemed great. Then after half hour I had lost 4,000 steps. I called Fitbit and didn't really get a good explanation other than it will be ok from now on.I have owed many different trackers and never seen this happen. Then noticed after each sync I would lose anywhere from 10 to 30 steps. I called again and the excuse this time was give it till tomorrow and it will be ok. I returned it immediately. Never again do I ever want one of these trackers.

It went in the garbage yesterday, I bought the Fitbit 4, and took that back I was losing minutes, I lost 4,000 steps. Apple Watch now. After 7years I had to give up.
