I have several friends who I know have a Fitbit but they are not showing up on my app. I originally downloaded the app before I got the Charge because I knew I was getting it and I just wanted to see how to set everything up. When I search Friends it only shows about 10 of my contacts or so and they are listed as "Friends without Fitbit." I was wondering if I needed to delete my account and start over, or if there was another way to fix this. Or, if I even can delete my account?

If your friends are using the same email address for their Fitbit account as the one you have in your contact list, they will show up at the top. Sounds like they might be using a different address. To resolve, ask them what address they are using and then send an invite from your dashboard on the website.

I still do not understand why all my contacts do not show in the Fitbit list of friends. Or why friends I have with Fitbits do not show under contact with Fitbit. Do you need to have the e-mail address in your contact info for your contact to show in the friend's section? Or is a phone number enough?

Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit us in the Community @Missypinetree, welcome! Are you trying to see this option on your mobile app? Well, this should be checked on the Dashboard online by using a computer or you can use the browser on your phone .

Thanks for stopping by @janicestravel ! To remove a friend in the app:
1. Open the app.
2. Tap the "Friends" tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
4. Tap "Remove Friend."

I set friend rankings to show me, but my app still shows contact without fitbit. Is there a way to delete those contacts? Thank you

Did you follow the steps I've suggested @Livtoplay? Have you tried logging out and logging back in?

Very strange my friend @Livtoplay . I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support directly so they can do a deeper investigation and see where the issue is coming from.
Don't forget to mention the steps you've done so far to avoid getting the same ones.

Matte can you advise where the profile setting for "show me" is I've looked in all areas of the app and can't find it, also the the friends I know who have fitbits but I don't have their email address why do they not show up as friends without fitbits. They are not on the list so therefore must be friends with fitbits by default and should be visible!!!

@Essbuxx If you log into your Fitbit account on Fitbit.com > click the gear icon in the top-right hand corner and click settings from the pulldown > click the privacy tab on the left > edit your "Average Daily Step Count" and settings and click save.

I am having the same issue, where under contacts only "Friends without Fitbit" are showing up? I know I have friends "With Fitbit", how can I get that to show up so I can add them? I have tried saving people's email address to my contact list in my phone, but they still don't show up. Also, this appears to be synced with my email contact list, so I don't understand why it would not show me the friends that I do have on fitbit. Other people seem to be having the same issue, and none of the posted solutions work. This whole app is supposed to help generate a community around fitness, pretty hard to accomplish if you are not able to find friends and create a community! I don't think adding people manually is a reasonable solution, I could have other contacts and friends that I don't talk to regularly who have the app and it would be great to re-connect over health and wellness. Can you please post a solution?

I also don't see this option, and I followed the link and am looking on my desktop dashboard.... maybe include a bit more information in terms of where it is on the menu for people to find? Thanks.
