Cycling is an activity type!  I am not sure what issue you are having or what tracker you use, but if you provide more information someone may be able to help.

It's also an exercise type (shortcut).  If you have a tracker that lets you use exercise shortcuts (Blaze, Surge, Charge 2), on your app, choose your tracker settings, choose exercise shortcuts.  If bike isn't there you can add it (click "edit" top right)  If necessary you can delete a shortcut you don't use to make room.
