Preview maps on Exercises are not correct.

I’ve been enjoying using the connected GPS to track walks and hikes, but lately the maps are messed up in the iOS app.  The preview maps are often wrong, random old maps instead of the actual map for that particular walk/hike.  When I tap the map to enlarge it the accurate map comes up, but the preview picture is always wrong.  Weird.  Anyone have this problem and maybe a solution?

I found an old thread similar to this in the Ionic forum and they said to first try logging out of the app and then log back in.  It worked!  My map thumbnails now match the real maps 🙂  I do notice they take some time to load now but I’m just happy they’re correct!

Well, the log-out and back in works for a short time, but then it starts showing the wrong preview again after a couple of weeks. So the bug is still there.

This happened to me too.

I strongly believe it's a Fitbit bug. The Map shows me running in San Francisco, many miles from me (i haven't been to SF in months!). In addition, the path is a line segment, whereas my recent run was in an oval.

I think it's a pity that this appears to be a long standing that no one seems to be capable of fixing...

I'm going to try to logout and log back in.

[added] and yes logging out and back in works.

Hello @windrider55, I hope you're doing well, thanks for joining the conversation. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. As mentioned earlier, our team is actively working towards a prompt and proper resolution for this situation and at this moment the workaround to show the correct map is to log out from the app and then log back in. This will refresh the information inside the app, showing the correct map.

I'm glad your map is showing correctly after following the steps in the workaround. Once I have more information to you about the progress of this issue, I'll make sure to post it here in the official Forums.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding, I hope you have a great day!

I’ll just add I’m having the same problem with the previews being random and from walks long past.  But when I click on preview the correct route shows up. This is after the update on my Fitbit Charge 2.   I’m glad you guys are working on it. It’s a little disconcerting.

Apparently this is an old problem. I have just had it the last couple of days. Mine does not correct if I click on it I don’t think.
