Receiving call notifications but not texts

Please help!!

My text notifications have stopped working on my FitBit Ionic.  I have reset FitBit, reset iPhone and uninstalled and reinstalled FitFit App.  All notifications are switched on on iPhone and FitBit and FitBit App. 

My calls are still coming through on FitBit but not texts....anyone know why, as notifications work together, shouldn’t just be one working and not the other.

Hello @LEJ80 

Lets make sure this is set up correctly:

go to:

device iOS settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on

also Go to:

iOS setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on

also go to:

iOS settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews 

Go to your Bluetooth:

1. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device
2. Turn on the Share System Notifications.

FitBit isn’t on my Location Services, but neither is WhatsApp either and they are still coming through?

Hi.

WhatsApp wasn’t the issue, it was normal texts. Sorted when you suggested the always in notifications to be turned onto always for messages.

I now have texts coming through on FitBit so thanks.

I updated my phone and now am receiving call notifications but not text. I do not want my text messages to appear or my lock screen so I don’t want to allow previews. I received texts before on my fitbit without allowing previews is there anyway around this?

Im super excited to see you’re able to get your call notifications to work. As you might be aware, notifications is a known issue with the Fitbit Team and they are working on a fix. The fact you have your call notifications to work is outstanding. Now as far as your text messages I do know that currently some individuals, like yourself are able to get their text notifications to work but like you only with the “allow previews” to show. At this time I have zero knowledge of anyone who has discovered how to change that. Hopefully the Fitbit Team will sort this out soon and put out a fix.

I have been looking for a long time for the fix of text messages not going to my fitbit versa 2. Turns out it was related to the fact that I was not having messages show on my phone in the banner. I would just get a notification that someone had texted me and I had to go to messages to read. If your texts are setup that way they will not go to fitbit. So your third recommendation for fix is what did it for me. Thank you.

If your go to settings and select

show preview > “When Unlocked” I was able to have the messages come to my Fitbit and not show on my phone when I am away from it. I want to share this with the community.

I tried these things and still can't get normal text messages. I get phonecall notifications and Whatsapp but no text. It is frustrating!
