The most recent iOS update for the Fitbit app no longer shows the intraday (historical) heart rate data. The "update" will only show the heart rate average for the historical period in question.
Example: Looking at 2024's "year" of data only shows 12 average rates, as opposed to the entire year of daily ranges (highs and lows) as with the previous iOS version.
The new iOS historical heart rate chart feature has very little value. The previous version was much much better.

My cardio fitness score has suddenly and dramatically improved. To the extent that I was suspicious of it and came looking to this forum to see whether anyone else was reporting the same. Your post causes me to think that this latest iOS update (which I wasn’t aware of before) has done something to the cardio data which has resulted in a recalibration of the cardio fitness and heart rate data in general. I noticed this yesterday, which appears to be the same day that the iOS update took place. This seems too coincidental to be true and I cannot realistically see any reason for the dramatic overnight improvement of my scores. It has put me into a category I’ve never even been close to before and while I’d love it to be true, I strongly suspect it isn’t.
