As of yesterday my Fitbit stopped updating on my community friends page.  I tried turning off phone and reloading my Fitbit app to no avail. I spoke with a Fitbit rep and was told it would reset at midnight. Yeah ok.  It did and it still has the same information which was 14 hours ago. It has been syncing everyday all day and has now stopped. It is syncing on my dashboard... is there a server problem?

@MarcoGFitbitThe problem seems to be Fitbit's servers, not confused users, as you seem to indicate. My steps under Friends are updating, but there's a 1-2 hour delay from syncing to the time of updating. In other words, the addition of new steps is not being processed by your servers in a timely manner. Please check your end of things and see if this can be fixed.

I've gotten 5,000 steps since getting home, but my 7 day total is not changing, on the app OR the dashboard. My sister's number is going up, but mine is still the same. Help!

I'm also having this problem these days... come on Fitbit, step up your game here! Seems like this issue has been in the forums since Spring. Tried logging out, restarting phone, clearing cache...nothing so far.

Mine isn't updating my recent activity, so under my community/friends its showing I have no recent activity. I've done all the trouble shooting stuff and nothing is working but my friends steps are updating, every time I go to see if my recent activity is showing up i see theirs change...It's frustrating!

So much for “February”, it’s July and happening .... my total weekly steps will not increase although my daily steps go up with every sync.... losing challenges for no good reason... How does this get resolved?? It’s been going on for 2 days now!

I know it’s so frustrating! Especially when Fitbit won’t let us know that it’s a technical issue on there end and not ours!!!.  Just would be nice to let us know!  I see my friends updating and mine is like in stuck mode 😡

Okay, so I don't know if this is what fixed my issues or not but I was still searching for info and found the how to restart my fitbit page.  You select your fitbit style and it tells you how. I plugged mine in, pushed the button 3 times that's on my charger (I have an Alta) and waited for it to restart then took off the charger.  Then I logged out of the app on my phone, closed it out, then opened it back up and logged back in and no it's showing my recent activity.  I hope this helps with you!!

Happening to me too. Total weekly steps not updating when I sync. Daily sync is fine. Strange.

What’s really weird, is that it worked about an hour ago and I added a couple more hundred steps and not working again. 43BA1FEB-60A4-4B0C-9C03-C8E123DFA4B9.jpeg

I am with you, I have tried all of the troubleshooting. One day my phone syncs with the app, the next day it will start to sync and then lose connection. Then start to sync and lose connection again. I was hoping this most recent app update would fix it but oh well.

I am going to return my Versa.

Alta not counting total steps correctly either. Logged out of app, reinstalled app nothing helped. Tried restarting Fitbit but it won’t restart either.

The past 2-3 days my Fitbit app will update my 7 day step total once for that day, then it refuses to update, even if more steps have been taken. It’s getting very frustrating, but glad it’s not just me.

I have the same issue everyone else is experiencing - the tracker shows my current steps but is not updating them on the friends list- but restarting the Fitbit did not help. Neither did all the other recommendations. I agree this seems like a server side issue since the steps are syncing on my dashboard.

Frustrating ain’t the word! They refuse to icknowledge that there is an issue here! It’s like every couple months they have tech issues.  It just would be nice if they would let us know that they are aware of the problem and working on it.  Instead making us do all this trouble shooting when it’s all on there end.    I’m glad I’m not the only one! Let our voices be heard people!
