Update 7/13/2018: Hi Everyone! We should be back to normal in the next day or so, but you may see a slight delay with your friend's leaderboard updating. Thanks again for your patience and reports.


Update 7/13/2018: Hi Everyone! We made some updates last night that should help improve this issue. Please try syncing and logging out and back in. If you are still experiencing this issue please let me know.


Update 7/12/2018: Hi Everyone - I've merged a few posts together. Thanks for your reports on the friend leaderboard not updating or updating slowly. I've reported this to our team and will let you know once I've heard further.

I and my husband had same issue, I made a call. But the support team didn’t know how to fix it.

Same for me as well.  Very frustrating.  Strangely enough, it doesn't appear to be an across the board issue as most of my friends 7 day total appears to be updating just fine.

I am also facing the same issue. Weekly steps not getting updated. However my current days step gets synced properly. Fitbit support - any help??

I have the same problem. My steps are syncing but not showing on the weekly steps count board with my friends.

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Tell me, when you mention Community friends page, are you referring to the Community tab or Challenges? Would it be possible for you to reply to me with a screenshot? That will be very helpful for me to check this further and determine what should we do next.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve my weekly steps not updating. Stopped working yesterday and briefly started working and has stopped again. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I appreciate you have taken the time to report this issue that's currently affecting the Leaderboards (7-day total). At this moment I have forward your information to our team so they can take a better look at this situation. I would just want to ask you some questions to get a better understanding and scope of this issue:

 

  • Have you updated the Fitbit app recently?
  • When did you start experiencing this issue? 
  • If you check the online Dashboard, does the Leaderboard is also affected?
  • After you sync, does the information corrects itself after 15-20 minutes?

I’m having the same issues, started yesterday morning. My 7 day steps wouldn’t update but my friends would. Today no one’s 7 day steps are updating. Any solution in sight? First time I’ve ever had issues.

It started a couple of days ago. My phone app no updates, reset my fitbit, turned my phone off, done all these steps and nothing. It will worked like once about 1/2 hr to an hr later and that’s it. Also having problems on with the food too. I eat something almost on a daily basis and when I click it it comes up something different that I never have eaten. There seems to be a lot of issue that are not being address all over the community help board and nothing is getting resolved and even acknowledge. Very frustrating and I’m not the only one!!

Hi, thanks for your response, I was referring to the community page with the tabs. My steps started updating last night, so not sure what happened, but problem solved. Thanks again

My mom apparently called Fitbit yesterday and they were able to help get her issue resolved with the weekly total not updating and she just texted me that hers is not updating again. Go figure

I am joining the posters at the bottom of this thread to report that my steps also are not getting updated in a timely way in Community>Friends, even though they are being logged in the app.  So far my steps  have been updating with an extremely long delay (more than 15 hours).  Please look into this.  Note that this is not the problem that was "solved"  in this thread.

 

I am not logging steps manually.

My Charge 2 is syncing with the daily steps etc, but not weekly in Community/Friends.  Had this problem yesterday.  I have restarted by Fitbit by plugging it in and pressing the side and it still isn't working grrr !!!

I have tried everything (updated app and my phone’s software, deleted app, restarted app & phone multiple times, etc.)

 

It started doing it a couple of days ago.  It appears to only update at midnight & then it won’t add the current day’s steps.

 

I also logged in online and it was showing as frozen/wrong on there as well.

 

It’s got to be a server issue.  Please help us!!!

Hi also had issues with weekly steps not syncing properly yesterday and i havent managed  to sync them today at all!! Is it just some people that this has affected?

Same here. Community steps not updating as of today. I’ve reset, restarted, etc. Is there a wider issue?

I’m having the same issue as well. My steps are syncing but my community/friends isn’t. Hasn’t been working for a day now 😞
