I mistakenly paired my Alta hr with my iPhone 7 Plus as an Alta, no problem pairing. iPhone recognized device as Alta and gave everything except Herat rate. I then tried to rectify mistake by logging out after I removed iPhone from Fitbit app, turned Bluetooth off in iPhone, restarted phone, went and signed in again with different email address to Fitbit app and registered the device as Alta hr (which is correct), and Fitbit will not recognize my iPhone or viceversa as ultra hr even though it did as Ulta several times even when I log in and ou of Fitbit app with my previous email used when I paired device as Ulta and not Alta hr. Does this mean that iPhone 7 Plus cannot recognize the Alta hr because heart rate feature is not supported? Help I want all features for which I paid extra to work.

Hello @Warrenton, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
This seems like a very odd situation, does your tracker have little green lights on the back indicating that it does have a heart rate monitor? If so, my best recommendation is going to your account and removing the tracker that has been set up (as Alta), then restart your phone and try to set up your Alta HR as a new device.
To set up your tracker as a new device:
If the app is not finding your tracker, please restart your Alta HR and try to set it up once again.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I apologize for my quick confusing posting reflecting, I guess, the frustration I was experiencing after spending a couple hours working on this. I guess I didn’t make clear that I already tried the steps you mentioned several times without success as long as I selected Alta hr as a new device. The only way that my phone was able to pair with the Fitbit was when I selected Alta. Ditto for my iPad which I tried to pair with the Alta hr to eliminate the possibility that the lack of recognition had to do with my device. Since both my devices are Apple products, I wondered if the hr feature is compatible with apple products in the Alta Fitbit since I have a friend who has a Charge 2 and had no problems when he paired his iPad with the charge 2.
