I had 8 alarms set up in the Fitbit app on my iPhone. I wanted to delete a few but that's is when it popped with the message about 8 alarms being the limit. Then the message just closes instead opening the settings so I could delete some alarms. I had to delete the app, redownload and log-in. This resolved the issue. I was able to open the alarm setting and delete some of my set times.
