Silent Alarm behaving weirdly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Could you please fix the silent alarm logic.

Now it behaves as follows:

Setting a silent alarm (e.g. 8am) just for tomorrow (repeat: never) works just fine tomorrow, but tomorrow the app still shows that there would be an alarm at 8am on the day after. However, the alarm does not ring the day after. Instead it does repeat itself in one week.

So with this behaviour, every night (if I want to wake up at the same time I did the previous night) I first have to set the alarm to off, wait for the sync, and then set it to on. Moreover, if I want to check if I already set an alarm for tomorrow, there's no way of knowing if I did (if I want to wake up at the same time I did the previous night), and I have to set it again.

Hello @kennuu, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention, I'll make sure to report it to our team and I'll make sure to update this thread once I have more information to share about it.

Now, if you would like to set up an alarm for consecutive days, I would like to suggest you to instead of just setting an alarm for "tomorrow" every day, please set an alarm and instead of selecting "never" select the days you want the alarm to go off, this way you won't have to set up the alarm every day for the next day.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hello, @MarcoGFitbit, and thank you so much for taking this issue to the team!

I wonder if you have any update on fixing it. It really ennoys me.

Unfortunately, the solution you proposed doesn't help me at all.

The silent alarm is one of the key reasons I'm using Fitbit in the first place, so it would be really nice to have it behaving in a sensible manner.

Hello @kennuu, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply! Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have come back and let me know you have already tried the troubleshooting steps I've provided earlier without success. At this moment I would like to ask you to go to your Device Settings in the online Dashboard and set up your alarms here, make sure to select "Recurrent" and mark all the days you want the alarm to go off like this:

Alarms.PNG

After that, sync your tracker and monitor it for the next few days to check if this works. Please note that we have not received more reports related to malfunctioning alarms so I would like to ask you to test this process to check if this helps.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I'm sorry that I have probably expressed myself unclearly: I don't have use for the recurring alarm. For that reason, alas, your hints don't help me.

Let me know, if you have some update on the behaviour on the non-recurring alarm behaviour.
