Sleep bar chart shows incorrect data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Whenever my sleep doesn't get tracked in a detailed manner (Awake, REM, Light, Deep) and instead gets tracked in a more simplified manner (Asleep, Restless, Awake), the "Hours Slept" Bar chart on the top of the summary screen shows double the amount of sleep as it displays on the daily graphs further down that screen. For example, on Monday the daily graph might show I got 7 hours sleep, but the bar chart at the top shows I got 14 (with a star indicating it met my goal, when it really didn't) It has been this way since I've used fitbits starting almost a year and half ago. I thought maybe it was my Alta, but I recently switched to a Charge and it still does it.

Of all the little bugs I read about with the app, this one is always the most glaring to me because I see it all the time. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix coming?

Hello @squipple.

Thanks for taking the time to bring this up.

What I'd recommend whenever this happens is that you try to log out of the app and then log back in. That forces all data to be loaded from the servers again and should help so that everything displays accurately.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I have the same symptoms.  Seems to have started after update to v2.92.  Sign out has no effect.  Incorrect data appears at Fitbit.com also.

Hello @Trailbear thanks for joining the conversation, it's always great to welcome new members to the Fitbit Community.

I appreciate you have taken the time to report this situation as well. At this moment, I would like to ask you to go to the Sleep Section of the online Dashboard and check if your sleep bar chart is showing correctly here. Additionally, I would like to ask you for some screenshots, from the online Dashboard and from the Fitbit app regarding the sleep bar chart, so we can check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

Right, that was my point, incorrect data appears online as well as in app.  Bar chart does not agree with individual sleep data.  Where the sleep data appears to be the correct (per reality) information.

This exact problem happened to me for the rest time.   I tried logging out and in, and that didn’t fix it.  Any updates on this problem?

I too woke up this morning and was shocked to see that with the new update, my Fitbit only registered 3 hrs. and 48 minutes of sleep. This is completely inaccurate. Please take a look at this as logging my sleep is one of the reasons I got the Fitbit.

Thank you!
