I recently upgraded to premium, and now in the iOS app the sleep tile goes to a panel which has three boxes, and then each box pops up a screen for its content. The Sleep Stages graph is now buried down in the "Deep and REM" box. Once I get there and click on the expand arrows in the upper-right corner of the Sleep Stages graph, it expands the graph but in portrait mode. When I turn the iPhone sideways, the graph does not rotate. So now my graph is a goofy very tall very skinny picture.
Of course I can get to the Sleep Stages graph through the web interface, and it displays quite nicely.
But the other two "expandable" graphs -- the Sleeping Heart Rate graph that's buried under the "Restoration" box, and the "Time Asleep" graph that's buried under the "Time Asleep" box -- don't appear to exist in any other device that I own except for the iPhone, and it also appears can only be displayed in the goofy tall squished form.
Burying this information under a carpel-tunnel-inducing workout of scrolls and clicks makes it basically impossible to see any evolution of my data over time, and that makes it a really really crappy user interface design from the perspective of someone trying to use the data to manage my health. But it also seems to make it much harder for your developers to code the displays so that they actually work correctly!
KISS strikes again...

@Cathyf123 There is a way to make it work and I found it by accident. Let's say you tap on your Deep and REM section. Rotate your phone to landscape and THEN tap on the arrows to expand the view. You will have your sleep stages in landscape view. If you rotate your phone, it will go back to portrait, but doesn't rotate back.

@Cathyf123 Sorry, I forgot to add that you need to do this to see your sleeping heart rate and time asleep in landscape.

The fact that this still hasn’t been fixed in 16 months just shows how inept the programmers are

Yes I used that trick and it worked for a while but now after recent app update it no longer works. Please please developers, sort this out. No landscape limits readability on sleep graphs!!!!

That used to work but after latest updates it no longer works!

@Sleep-in How odd, because it still works for me. My Fitbit app version is 3.68.1. I still have iOS 15.7.

I upgraded to iOS 16.1.1 and have Fitbit app 3.71. The workaround stopped working. I unchecked my Best Answer.

Rotation to landscape view of sleep stages still no longer works on my iPhone. Was working a few weeks ago. I usually rotated views to landscape so please fix this FitBit.
In portrait view I cannot view the hours awake/asleep on the right third of the graph by dragging my finger across it like I can in landscape view.

Same problem here. Some of the graphs will still change to landscape but others won’t. Very annoying, and also very annoying that Fitbit seem to be ignoring this comment thread.

I reported this bug several times through different channels.
Not sure why this thread got moved to the Premium forum. This is an iOS bug. I am moving it back to the iOS forum.

I also found that hack by accident, but it stopped working a few weeks ago. I hadn't changed my phone or anything else. Also my Fitbit keeps dropping off my Bluetooth and almost every time I open the app I have to tell Bluetooth to forget device and reconnect it in the app. Very annoying.

I was thrilled when the hack worked, but then it stopped, as for many of you. The premium version is really fantastic but I am planning to cancel it because of the sleep graph/landscape issue, as silly as that may sound. The sleep graph is a big part of my Fitbit experience and now it’s just too difficult to read.
