Steps and activity were deleted upon syncing with the app

Charge 2 - app version is updated to the current one and there are no other accounts synced with my Fitbit.

I ran yesterday and upon syncing with Fitbit in the afternoon, my steps and activity were deleted and reset to 0 for the day.

What is the point in having the fitbit if you can't sync with the app without data being deleted...

Hi, @AnnaMeg88 , the Charge 2 is now a very old device in electronic terms.  I am not sure what happened in your case, but it sounds like your Fitbit might have crashed in the process of syncing - maybe a sudden battery failure - or it reset itself just at the moment of syncing but before the data had transferred.

You can always manually load the information - instructions to do that are here .  Hopefully this will not recur!

It may be that this was a one off, and your Fitbit will go back to functioning normally.  However, it could indicate that your Fitbit is coming to the end of its useful life.  The Charge 2 has proved to be a particularly robust Fitbit so it might carry on for a while yet.  I still have one that is still working (whereas my Charge 4 is completely dead).

If you are ready to think about upgrading you will find that the newer trackers have added many features.

Good luck and welcome to the Community Forums!  Let us know how it goes.
