When I wakened this morning my dashboard showed I had taken over 2700 steps during the night. I may have taken about 50. Any suggestions regarding how to remove these steps and how to avoid this happening in the future will be gratefully received.
Ten minutes later-
I 've just looked online to see if I could find any information and see there is a problem with Alta HR not changing at midnight on 31 May. Fitbit team working on it.

Hello @Kitmc, I hope you're having a great day, it's nice to see you around.
Our team is expecting that some Alta HR users' stats will not reset at midnight on the night of 05/31 - the morning of 06/01. This is an issue that our team is aware of and working to resolve. If your steps don't reset, they will reset the following midnight.
If you're affected by this issue, we are currently unable to retroactively fix/delete the steps that were accumulated. I apologize for the inconvenience and can assure you that we are working to get this resolved as soon as possible. I will make sure to share fix updates as soon as I hear of them and appreciate your continued patience and understanding. Additionally, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hello
my fitbit charge 2 failed to reset last night 7-11-17. Is this a known problem and may I assume there is a solution? I have tried resetting whilst charging - this did not do anything 😳
Thank you.

Hello @Woodbine, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I'm sorry to hear your Charge 2 didn't reset on the night of 7-11. At this moment, as you have restarted your tracker, you have already performed the troubleshooting which will prevent this issue from happening again. Unfortunately, the steps carried over from the previous day can't be removed.
I sincerely apologize for this situation, in case it happens again, please let me know so I can check this further. Additionally, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hi same happened to me this morning 01/08/17. Is this still being worked on by the support team or should we expect this every time a new month happens?

Is this an ongoing problem? I bought this less than 2 weeks ago and will return it if this happens every month. From other posts it seems this has been going on and nothing has been resolved. This is my 3rd Fitbit in 2 years. It may be time to try a different brand.

Hey. My Alta HR did not reset the steps, miles, or calories burned overnight from 31/07 to 01/08. Please fix this recurring problem. This is the most important feature on my Fitbit for me. Thank you.
