I upgraded from the Blaze to the Versa and it has been nothing but trouble. First, it wouldn’t stay connected to my phone so it wouldn’t always track my run or bike and sometimes it would connect to start a workout, but then disconnect during the workout. Second, I stopped receiving text notifications. I know this was a known issue for all notifications after an iOS update. I have since started receiving all other notifications...just not text messages. I have tried everything suggested and still no luck. My phone is a 6s.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing issues with your new Versa. I understand this can be frustrating. Let’s try restarting your Versa to see if that doesn’t help your connectivity problem. You can find the proper way to restart your Versa here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186 If you still notice connectivity issues try turning your Versa off then on again. Here’s how: On your watch, open the Settings app > tap About > tap Shutdown > confirm the shutdown. To turn your watch back on, press the back button. Finally if you still are experiencing syncing issues please try this:
log out of your Fitbit App
force shut the app by swiping the app upward
now turn off your iPhone 6s completely, wait 1-2 mins then turn your iPhone back on
log back into your Fitbit App as you normally would with your email address and password
Now sync your Versa.
Now let’s address your notifications issue. Unfortunately notifications are an issue that the Fitbit Team is aware of since the iOS 13 update. Hopefully a fix will come soon. These tips may help:
1. GET UP-TO-DATE
Update the Fitbit app.
Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.
2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS
Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
Tap the information icon “i” next to the name of your Fitbit device.
Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
Tap the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device
Turn on Share System Notifications.
3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS
Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
Allow Notifications—On
Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
Alerts > Notification Center—On
Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
Allow Notifications—On
Alerts > Notification Center—On
Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
Allow Notifications—On
Alerts > Notification Center—On
Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
Allow Notifications—On
Alerts > Notification Center—On
Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
