Syncing and App Staying Open in Background

iPhone 12 and Fitbit Sense...

 

love both products BUT The app does not stay open in the background so it does not stay synced...

 

I called customer service got help and unfortunately it did not stay that way. Got an email with reference number and even followed directions if problem persisted... emailed back and haven’t heard anything back in 3 days? 

It doesn’t feel like I make a sound investment?

 

Can someone help me fix this issue?

If you go into settings on your iPhone and scroll down to find Fitbit and tap on it, is the option for background app refresh on or off?

This should not stop the tracker from syncing while the fitbit app is open in the foreground. This makes me wonder if their is a different issue.

The tracker? I’m not sure what you mean. The app and watch does not stay synced, I just received an email with old information from maybe how the app use to be, not the way it is now so following the instructions was a dead end but I’m going to keep on trying checking all the different options to see what leads to where in hopes that it helps... 

 

Right now I literally keep getting Fitbit app messages to sync and try running it in the background which I have that option on... and I have to keep opening the app to have the phone and watch sync still.
