Hello @dottyg, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, which tracker are you currently using? Have you restarted it and your phone lately? If so, I would like to suggest you to check the following in case you haven't yet:

  • Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal when syncing your tracker
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the syncing process.

If your tracker is still taking a long time to sync, my best recommendation would be enabling All-day Sync in the app so your phone and your tracker establish a better connection between them. This also allows your tracker to sync in the background. To enable All-day Sync go to Account > Your Tracker and scroll down until you see this option.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply. Smiley Wink

Hello @dottyg, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

If your tracker is still taking a long time to sync, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome! Smiley Wink

I have now done this a couple of times and it still takes at least 10 minutes to sync - I have to walk away and leave it.

@dottyg and @MarcoGFitbit -

I have run into this issue a couple of times in the past after taking app updates - The most recent being last week.

The app would get stuck with the process bar at the halfway point. I used to reboot my phone in the morning and that would take care of it for that day. I sometimes had to do it each morning for a few days in a row. Then all of a sudden it started syncing fine.

What I decided to do last week was "force quit" the app. On an iPhone that means have the app up on the screen, double-tap the home button to put in "select another running app" mode and then swipe up on the Fitbit app to make it disappear. Then press the home button once to return to the "home" screen.

Once I completed the above, I restarted the app. I have had no issues with syncing since performing those steps last Thursday.
