I just got a Charge 5. Last weekend I went backpacking, so to save battery I didn't have BT on my phone, and then my fitbit died midway through the 2nd day. Is all of that data lost now? (I was tracking my hikes so it was using a lot of juice - now I know that I need to have a battery pack with me if I want to be able to use the device for more than 24 active hours). Generally, does the device have to sync every single day or can it save a few days of data for the next time it's connected to the app? Thanks!

Without syncing, Fitbits generally store detailed data for I think 7 days, then switch to storing summary data without all the detail.

Thanks, the data is not showing up in the app even though today's data has now synced. Is there something I need to do to pull in the past data?

Nevermind!! I just force synced again and it showed up!! Thank you, because I would have given up on trying if you hadn't replied.
