The option to not log meditation as exercise

Is there a way to tell the app not to regard meditation (as selected through the discover app) as exercise. It is hardly an energetic activity.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @DavidHowdon.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about the option to not record a meditation as exercise. I am glad to assist you with that. After the meditation activity is finished, do you see the option to log it or cancel? You can select to cancel and it won't be logged in your exercise history.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I feel similarly as the OP. I would still like the option to log the meditation in the mindfulness section - I just don't want it to appear as exercise. It seems that you can't do one without doing both?

@LiliyaFitbit I tried your suggestion to select cancel. The mindfulness minutes were not logged under exercise or mindfulness either so this is not a good option.

The prior mindfulness minutes logged have completely skewed my exercise duration chart especially with the 40+ minute sleep stories. One where I fell asleep logged 279 minutes of exercise. Not good.

This needs to be corrected where the mindfulness minutes are only logged under mindfulness and not mixed in with exercise minutes.

Do appreciate all the hard work on these great new features. So helpful during these trying times. I hope this can be fixed soon as I do want to track mindfulness minutes and the effect on other metrics.

Thank you for your assistance 😊

UPDATE: The RED SIENNA sleep story was logged as 40 minutes under EXERCISE and 279 minutes under MINDFULNESS. The story is about 40 minutes long, the 279 minutes represents when I actually tapped log after sleeping.  So there’s a bit of additional work to do here for accurate stats.

100% I agree it's throwing off all my data. A 2 minute mindfulness exercise should not count as a full day's exercise.
