Tired of Fitbit asking me to allow location services and not does not even sync

I don’t want notifications, I don’t need it to track me via gps. I just want it to count steps. Every time I open the app is wants me to allow location services etc. can’t make it stop asking. And now the thing won’t even sync. It shows me todays steps but deletes previous days.  About to throw this thing out.

This is driving me to distraction as well. FitBit, please fix this, it’s beyond annoying.
