When I go to refresh my phone the phone says it’s looking.... I just got the new iPhone 8+. Yesterday it was syncing. Today it just says looking and it’s not syncing- any ideas how to remedy the problem?

Try:

Go to your Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and find your tracker, tap the (!) exclamation point and select "Forget this device".
