Best AnswerThanks for your reply @MarcoGFitbit, I've finally had success in setting up my Fitbit and syncing it to my iPhone 6S. I had to factory reset the Fitbit by pressing the button on the USB charger while it was plugged in (3 pushes in 8 seconds, and when the Fitbit logo appears unplug the charger)
i then got a code code to sync the Fitbit but then had to do a software update. This froze so I did a 2nd factory reset and after that the update downloaded, everything synced perfectly and I'm now using my Fitbit.
