transfer from fitbit to Google all previous data lost. Its absolutely appaling. I have had Fitbit since 2017 aqnd now with all this forced change over which I did not want or ask for. I have used days on this change over and they said it was easy. We are the customer, we are paying for this and there is person body we can talk to to fix.
I am furious that this monopoly that Google has over us.

On 8/10/25 when I checked my Fitbit App on my Galaxy phone, I had been logged out. I thought that was strange, because I leave my App open to be able to check it through-out the day. I logged back in and the app would not sync with my Inspire 2. I checked the forum and went through various ‘hoops’ to try to get the app to communicate with the device. One of the messages, stated that I had not synced in 274 days. That is about how long I have had this device.
I ended up re-setting my device and re-installing on my App. Before I did this I could see my historic data from the last 11 months. Once I re-added the device to my app, all my data disappeared. I ended up setting up on Google in the hopes that my data had already been moved to that platform. I still do not have any historical data. I set up a chat with google support, and they were not able to help me.
Does anyone know how to actually talk to someone that can get my data back and connected with my account?

These are not SDK issues. The iOS or Android sections here may be relevant.

I am sorry, but I did not intentionally categorize my post as an SDK issue. Can you explain how I can re-categorize my post as an IOS problem. I am really frustrated, because I have had 3 different trackers since 2013 and not had this kind of problem before. I feel it has something to do with the sell to google. My background is in software development in a manufacturing concern. I have been involved in conversions and I know that there are ways to convert from one system to another in an organized manner, without losing historical data. I would like my steps to be restored.
My case number on the chat is 5-8711000039688

Some kind soul has recategorised this thread (it wasn't me!). Hopefully you will get some help here.
(As an aside, I'm interested that you didn't intentionally categorise your post as an SDK issue. I've noticed a few off-topic posts in the SDK section recently, so I'm wondering whether there's a bug in the forum software.)

Hi Peter, could be a bug. I just opened the forum and logged my question. I do not remember seeing anywhere on the page to categorize my question. I suppose I could have accidently done something wrong.
