I purchased a new I phone 6s with ios9-2 the same day as I purchased my Fitbit surge they sync ok for data but no notification for txt or phone alert

Hi @Weldersin12,

Call/text notifications requires that there is a Bluetooth bond between your tracker and your phone, while syncing doesn't. If you haven't already tried, I'd recommend the call/text setup instructions listed here.
