Unable to create a Fitbit Account.

This is regarding the Ionic model. The mobile application is installed on my phone but is not allowing me to log in or create an account.

  1. When I try to login to my account I receive an error message stating "Oops. Something went wrong" or "The request timed out."
  2. I have tried creating a new account within the app, but when I get to the point of inputting my weight, it won't let me go further and I receive a message stating "Problem creating account: The email address you provided is already in use with an existing account."

I have tried creating new email addresses, but it still doesn't work. Reaching wits end and may have to return the product.

Hello @mkehrli, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. At this moment, as it seems you have already created an account, I would like to suggest you to restart the password for this account, then try to log in again. If you're getting the same "Oops. Something went wrong" message after changing the password, make sure you have a strong WiFi signal or turn off WiFi entirely before trying to log in again using your cellular data (the app won't use much data).

Now, if you're getting a different error message or an error number, please take a screenshot and reply to me with it so I can check this further.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I am trying to create accounts using an ICloud email address and keep getting messages that email is already in use. Or try again later message. How do I know if both emails are actually in use or if this is some error?
