On the current version of the iOS app 2.36 you will be unable to update Privacy Settings (who can see your daily step count). Our engineers are aware of this and working to get this resolved shortly.
In the meantime, if you need to update your privacy settings, force quit the app. You can then update your settings through the website at www.fitbit.com/settings/privacy.
Stay tuned to this post for further updates. Thanks very much for your patience.

This happened to me too. I called Fitbit and he walked me through the steps and fixed it. It's no longer an issue for me. Call. They are very helpful

What does "force quit the app" entail?
Thanks.

@SunsetRunner Hi there. Double tap your home button on the app, if you see the Fitbit app card swipe up, it will now be closed.
