I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for having tried to troubleshooting this issue before submitting your post. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to try the following steps:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal and that there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process.
  3. Restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen, then try to set up again.
  4. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet and try to set up again.
  5. If you can't set up after the reboot, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone or tablet and try to set up the Versa one more time.

Give these steps a try and let us know in case you need further assistance, we'll be happy to help.

Hi Marco

on my iPhone 8 after the last OS update to 12,3 and the Fitbit App update and today’s (23 May 2019) Fitbit App update:

my phone’s Bluetooth connection cannot see the Versa. The App does “find” the Versa but cannot connect. Any zoo Customer Support is on my case and are trying to help.

I want to know:? Is this an Apple issue? The Versa updates on my wife’s Samsung S7 were fine.

Oh I am a little tech clued up: yes I did restart my iPhone yes I did all the Versa trouble shooting. I have been down that road with the Blaze.

Gotta tell you I love the Versa hence the frustration. Sidebar- I don’t think I will return to Android.

Let me know if you come up with anything. PS Other Bluetooth devices were removed and reinstalled

Hello @Ronald1 I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.

I appreciate you have replied with more information about this situation. Tell me, was the Versa updated on your wife's phone the same you're using? If so, it's possible your wife's phone has established a Bluetooth link with the Versa, in which case I would like to suggest you to go to the Bluetooth settings on your wife's phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.

After that, try to set up the Versa on your phone once again and if your Versa is still having trouble setting up, please try the following:

Give this a try and let us know the outcome.

Hi Marco G

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider my case. At the outset we used the settings on the Samsung S7 to rename her Versa. iPhone does not allow that. We update each phone and Versa individually then we powered the phone and Versa down before moving to the next. So thanks but I did just that-oh by the way The Call Center agent did the same.

Marco G sidebar please: typically people would establish Bluetooth connections with their Head Units (infotainment Unit aka “radio”) in vehicle and possibly pc at work. I have heard that some gym equipment also have Bluetooth connectivity. Perhaps the code writers have more work to do.

i would happily switch to Ionic and give my Versa to my daughter but in South Africa prices are crazy at best & I cannot purchase from Fitbit Online store. Many in a few months time.

 Thanks again Marco
