I gifted my old Fitbit to my boyfriend, I got a charge hr and removed the old flex 2 prior to giving it to him. The flex 2 will still sync to my phone, an iPhone 5s, (and I ran an update on it once it synced) which I tried after I reset both his phone, an iPhone 6s, and the flex 2 pebble. I turned Bluetooth on and off and still can not get the phone to find the pebble. I have also deleted and redownloaded the Fitbit app. Obviously the pebble works fine, since it still connects to my phone.

I have the same problem. My wife got an Alta HR today and I am trying to set up her old Flex 2 on my iPhone 7. I first removed the Flex 2 from her profile. I have tried all the recommended procedures of restarting the pebble, restarting the phone, turning bluetooth off, etc. The iPhone app can detect if bluetooth is off or on, but is unable to pair with the device. The pebble is fully charged. I have tried it in and out of the charger. I feel out of options here...

Hello @Peter12345 and @CheeseQueen, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate you have let me know the troubleshooting steps you have already tried in order to try to resolve this issue. At this moment I would like to suggest you to go to the Bluetooth settings on the phone where the tracker was previously set up and check if it's listed under the paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. Once the tracker has been removed, please try to set up the tracker in the new phone.
To set up your tracker as a new device:
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Hi Marco,
Thanks for your reply. I had tried all the steps you suggested, to no avail. However I have since solved my problem, as follows:
1) I switched off bluetooth on all nearby devices, except the iPhone I wanted to pair with.
2) I then repeated the procedure and it worked.
I got this idea because I had a similar problem trying to pair Sena bluetooth communication device some time ago. It seems bluetooth is a quirky technology...
Frankly, I'm a little surprised that this solution has not been mentioned by anyone before...or perhaps I simply did not perform a suitable search?
Anyway, I'm happy the problem is resolved, and I hope posting this might help others with similar problems.
