Unable to turn On the notifications from my iPhone 7

My Alta HR has stopped receiving notifications and I cannot get into setting for them. When I tap notifications I just get the spinning  symbol but it won't open. Anyone else experienced this or got any suggestions? I have restarted both the HR and the iPhone 7

I've moved your post from Alta HR to iOS board so this can help other users with the same Fitbit app platform. This is really weird,since you already tried the restart process now I suggest these steps:

 

  1. Uninstall the Fitbit app from the phone.
  2. Turn off the WiFi or mobile data from your phone, also turn off the Bluetooth.
  3. Restart the phone.
  4. Once the phone is on again, install the app and turn everything on, try to enable the notifications and test this feature.

Give it a try and let me know the outcome.

Thanks for your response. I also have an iPad and use both the iPhone 7 and iPad wth the Fitbit app and neither will setup notifications for my Alta HR, although they both did when I first got it a couple of months ago.

I have deleted the app from both the phone and iPad and reloaded it just on the phone, but it still does not work. The iPad is the same, but now I notice that neither app will setup for the all day sync either.

I am not sure if the problem is the Fitbit or the app on iOS.

Any suggestions would be very useful.

Hey @Fudge1, it's nice to see you again! I want to thank you for the time you took to try the steps I posted above, since these instructions didn't work and the issue is not only with the app on your iPhone 7, my recommendation now is removing the tracker from your account and also from the Bluetooth settings in your phone, once you're done, restart the phone and set the Alta HR back up to the account and enable the notifications again. To remove the tracker from the account please follow these steps:

 

1. Tap on the Account tile in the app.

 

2. Tap on your tracker's name and scroll all the way down, there you'll find the option to delete the tracker from your account. Remember to sync your tracker before removing it from the account.
