The intrusive, unwanted popups invading the Today screen are super annoying.
I don't want or need to see these 'tips' and am very tired of having to dismiss them just so I can complete what I went there to do in the first place, eg. wanting to log water, being interrupted by the popup (which I inevitably hit accidentally, which takes me to another screen that I then have to return from), dismissing the popup, and then finish logging.
This behaviour is obnoxious and there's no setting to disable it. Apps that force 'features' on users this way are a huge turn-off; I'm seriously considering switching to a different tracker because of it.

Hi, @SunsetRunner , there used to be an option to remove these “insights” and “tips” but with a later app update that was removed. There is a feature suggestions to add this option back in. Although it is labelled “not currently planned” you can still vote for it and comment upon it. That is the best way to make your feelings known.
You can find that feature suggestion here .
I am sorry not to have a better answer for you.

Hi Julia,
Thanks for your input.
I voted, but the "not currently planned" tells me all I need to know about the utter arrogance of Fitbit. A company that doesn't listen to valid complaints and foists useless garbage on its customers deserves to lose business.
Kind regards,
Randall

Me too! I recently let my premium expire because I thought it was a feature for that. I now have a different account without premium and this stupid insights are still popping up! Fitbit does nothing because I am seeing folks complaining about this dated in 2019! I have been a loyal customer of Fitbit for years, but they will be losing me as a customer because they do nothing! I see all kinds of request and nothing gets done!
