Unable to use barcode scan on food tile with iPhone 14 Series

I've been using the Fitbit app since 2015 and scanning barcodes without any problems with my previous iPhones. I got a new iPhone 14 Pro last month and it will not scan any food barcode. It's like it won't focus properly. It just says "Still Looking..."  Fitbit, please fix the app!!! Please.

I found this on a site for a different product having Troy le with iPhone 14s:

The scanning difficulties were caused by the main camera of these iPhone models being unable to focus at distances closer than 15cm. This issue particularly affects the scanning of barcodes with thin features or bars, which require close-range scanning for adequate image resolution.

seems relevant, if not satisfying… 😕

So when is there going to be a fix for this?  I still cannot scan foods with my iPhone 14. 4 months since your post on this topic!  Thanks.

Good question. Fitbit has still never responded to my posts. I honestly think they don’t care. I’ve given up on getting a resolution.

Yeah.  I really dont think they really care about customer service once a product is purchased.  I looked back at posts regarding this complaint and it was first reported last year, but Fitbit didn't respond until 5 or 6 months later at the earliest.  And they haven't responded or updated their post of 4 months ago.  My next device will be something else because their customer service really sucks.  Of course it comes at a higher cost, but Apple's tech is easy to work with and responsive.  An Apple watch looks better and better to me.

Yup...seems relevant, but Fitbit or Apple should address it.  If its something that cant be fixed--then Fitbit should acknowledge they aren't capable of fixing it and moving on.

it would seem that since this and the issue of a pop up asking for credit card to be added to the wallet other are unresolved after a year or more that Fitbit is either not really interested in resolving or hopes it goes away with those affected buying other devices

So… when are we getting a resolution? It’s now AUGUST. The 15s are coming out soon…

Same issue! I was thinking about upgrading my Fitbit but given this issue is ongoing almost a year without resolution, I think I’ll consider switching to a different watch. Whomp

Same issue here. I started a new thread because this did not appear in my search for the topic. So frustrating to see it has been going on for so long
