I absolutely love the app and the wearable has changed my life for the better! There are some issues with the app, though.
Firstly, there's a bug that changes the unit of measurement I use for logging food. Sometimes I will record 150ml of something (milk, fruit juice), but after it's saved, I find that it has been changed to 149 7/8 ml. Editing the log, or removing and-relogging it doesn't work. Also, sometimes the unit of measurement changes. 125ml will sometimes change to 12 1/2 cl, with no way of changing back to ml after it's been added.
I've also noticed that with the new version of the app (updated yesterday), custom food that I've created now only allow me to use cups, quarts and pints... not milliliters! This is quite puzzling and frustrating.

Hello @kocytean_za, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
This seems like a very odd situation but I'll be happy to help you. Have you tried to force-close the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app? If so, I would like to ask you for a screenshot of the quantities you're getting when trying to log in your food. Additionally, please send me a screenshot of the custom food you're trying to record so I can check this further.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

Hi Marco,
Thanks for the reply, and apologies for the delay in getting back to you!
I've done as you suggested and am still getting the same results. Also, I can confirm that updating the app to the latest version at the time ( 2.39 (691) ) did not fix the issue.
Attaching some screenshots of this behaviour.

Hi there @kocytean_za, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.
I appreciate you've sent the screenshots. At this moment I would like to suggest you to create your custom food but instead of using [ml] please use [L]. For example, instead of creating a 150ml custom food, create a 1.5L custom food. Then try to log that food and let me know if you're still experiencing the same situation.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome!

Thanks Marco! I will do so.
I experienced it today while adding new custom food. The serving mass I entered was 100g, but it defaulted to 1/4 pound.

I am having the same problem. If I log something at 355mls (because it's a can of something) I want it to stay mls I do not want it to go to cl. If I wanted it in Centilitres I would have put it in like that in the first place. Please...stop...changing....my....units...this is frustrating.

Hi - have any resolutions been found to this issue yet? I’m having the same problem.
I’m setting up custom foods with a base measurement of 1 fluid oz. It saves fine and I’m able to save an entry into my eating schedule. When I check the eating schedule entry, it is no longer in ounces, it is in cl. (correctly converted to a cl equivalent - 1oz to 2-7/8cl) if I try to edit it, the only unit of measurement available is cl. When I go back to the custom food, it too is in cl now, and I can’t change the unit of measurement. I’ve tried deleting the custom food and setting up again - same thing. This doesn’t appear to happen all the time, as I have other custom foods which are in fl oz and they stay in fl oz with the option to use other units. I would include screenshots of when I was able to set up the custom food and then after when it is converted to cl, but I’m having problems with your photo insert function on my iPad. If there’s a way to send them to you, let me know. Thanks!

I've had to log into my Fitbit account on my computer and edit my custom foods from there. Sometimes it's taken me more than one try to change a food to what I want it to be. Frustrating.

I've recently started using the food logging functionality and this is still happening. Surely it should have been fixed by now?

Hi,
Has this been sorted. I have the same problem, enter a unit of measurement as ml and it defaults to cl. I don’t want to provide screen shots nor do I want to change the unit of measurement to something else that is not preferable. Come on Fitbit you’ve been made aware of this problem since September 2017.

I too am still experiencing this issue. This post dates back over a year and still there is nothing on here about Fitbit fixing it! I have tried to create a new custom dinner recipe and it is insisting on recording it in cl. It's ridiculous because it is a Pork Cannelloni. Also the information I have for the recipe is for 3 servings and I just can't enter a unit of measure it will accept so that I can record just one serving. It keeps changing the unit to 1/20 cl and I can't make it any smaller than that.
Actually wastes so much time because I have to create every food I eat in the first place because I don't live in America. How hard can it be to update the databases with the foods we have in our respective countries? If you're happy enough to sell your product in our countries you should be supporting it.

Has this issue been sorted since 3 years ago?! I had to create the same custom food 3 times now because of this issue! I am introducing 30 ml which is changed to 3 cl, and if I want 32 ml the next day there is now way to introduce that as the only available unit is cl!!!

Nope, it hasn't been sorted at all. And I don't believe they're going to, because they don't really care about it. Despite the face people have been trying repeatedly to get them to address it.

I actually don’t know what cl stands for/ never heard of it before. But it’s showing up in my measurements now too.
