I forgot to wear my Charge 3 one day this week, but when I went to the app on my iPhone it showed I had gotten over 10k steps...I checked steps against Apple Watch and virgin health app and that was fairly close.  How did it sync on Fitbit app when device was miles away, on charger?

Hello and welcome @JESMama

I see you have what your calling an unusual sync. Actually it’s not unusual at all. It’s actually telling you your tracker is working perfectly. Here’s why: Most Fitbit devices record detailed minute-by-minute data for 7 days. (Fitbit Alta records minute-by-minute data for five days). Fitbit devices can store daily totals for up to 30 days.

But this was recording steps taken while Fitbit was at home miles away. Usually if I don’t wear the device while taking the steps they don’t show up even when I sync.
