Update 6/26/2018: Hi Everyone, I've merged a few threads together. Thanks for your iOS notification reports.

Based on customer feedback, we stopped showing notifications in the Notification Center. You can continue to receive these notifications as push notifications by turning on Push Notifications in the app under Account > Notifications. Additionally, ensure that Notifications is selected in your iPhone settings.

Huh, that's pretty strange. Let me help you with this problem of the notifications not coming through, @Dixielou.

I'd like to know... Is this just for Fitbit notifications or is it also for your call/text notifications? I would recommend first to log out of the  Fitbit app by going to the Account section at the top right corner of the app. Then, scroll to the bottom and tap on "Log out of app". Once you've done this, log back in with the same email address and password and see if that makes any difference.

If this is also happening for call/text notifications, I would recommend to first, sync your tracker and then, proceed with removing it from your Bluetooth devices. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone. On your connected devices, look for your tracker. Tap on it, then choose the option that says "Forget this device". Then, set up your tracker as a new device.

For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps and if you need more help, please, let me know! Welcome to the Forums!

I am having the same problems, I am not getting the daily message to say how many steps are left or the encouragement notifications from the Fitbit app.

All messages and other app notifications are working as normal

Thank you so much for getting back to me, so I am getting all of the notifications that come through my fitbit (watch) I am only not getting the notifications on my IPhone App, Like how many steps I have done so far and how many more I need to reach 10,000  goal etc. so I followed your directions but so far nothing from the past has come through. This stopped working after the 17th of this month, I believe it was after the update.  I restarted my IPhone  and turned off all notifications on app as well as phone, then turned them back on and restarted phone again.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one having this problem. I’ve also tried forgetting and repairing the connection. I’ve reatarted my phone. I’ve restarted my charge 2. No matter what I’ve tried I’m not getting notifications within the Fitbit app.

I, too, stopped receiving the "Nailed it!  You met your step goal for today." message on my Fitbit Alta HR after June 17.  I tried to remove from Bluetooth, restart, reboot, removed device and added again to no avail.

Hi

I'm having the same problem as Dixielou above.  My Versa is receiving notifications normally. It is just the Fitbit App Notifications at the bottom right of the app which are not sending Nailed it comments even though I have done in excess of my daily steps on 3 occasions.

Please advise

Good Evening Barskiswife,

I had a case# and problem continued so I called again and have another case number. I just read and now they are saying that they no longer offer the notification based on community feedback like we didn’t want it. I’m so confused and disappointed.

disappointed sums it up I liked the notifications if others did not they could sit off the "Push notifications " how can we let them know we want it back !!!!

We need to keep calling and letting them know we are not happy and hopefully they will hear our voices and respond in our favor. I really hate their decision and truly miss my notifications. At least, we are not alone. 😭

I wished there was an opportunity for feedback from all Fitbit customers regarding removing the “notifications”.  Honestly, poor decision made. The encouragement to reach your goal like how many steps to go or you’ve reach your goal were great motivation which some of us need.  I’m a senior citizen who felt so happy when I was encouraged to meet my goal.  We would love for FitBit to reconsider. Thanking you in advance!

Or...is it possible to uninstall an update to go back to a previous version? I certainly don’t need the family set up feature - but miss this feature!!!!!! A. Lot.

So the only way to have these notifications is in the banner format?

Hi there guys @Notdebie @Caroleyoungs @Rich_Laue, good to see you all in the Community Forums! 🙂

@Rich_Laue, you're right, this is not an issue with the notifications not coming to the Blaze but about the notifications on the Fitbit app.

@Notdebie @Caroleyoungs, I've moved your thread to this other thread which is specifically about this situation, so make sure to check the main post here for instructions on how to be able to see your notifications in the app again.

Anything else, I'm here to help!
